Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Location: Henry Ford St. John Hospital, 22101 Moross Rd, Detroit, MI 48236

Sign-on Bonus: $10,000

Employment Type: Full Time, Benefit Eligible

Shift: Full-time, 36 hours/week, evenings/midnights, 10-hour shifts with one 12-hour shift, every other weekend, holiday rotations

Cross training opportunities are available for Radiologic Technologists interested in pursuing a career in CT.

Perform computerized tomographic procedures for diagnosis of disease and injury according to radiologist protocols. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, selecting technical parameters, administering contrast media or medications within scope of practice, observing patients and reporting abnormalities, monitoring protocols, and following radiation safety procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR
  • Associate's or Technical degree, OR
  • 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED:
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire or transfer (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • Nuclear Medicine Tech credential from NMTCB prior to hire, or
    • ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography Certification, or
    • ARRT Radiologic Technologist in Radiography, with Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
