Job summary

The CT Technologist at HCA Summerville Hospital performs CT diagnostic procedures under radiologist direction, operates CT equipment, verifies images, and prepares the room with necessary supplies.

Responsibilities include assisting the radiology team with scheduling, clerical tasks, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards to support accurate diagnoses; supervision of students may occur per area policy.

Qualifications

• ARRT required upon hire.
• SCRQSA required upon hire.
• BLS – Healthcare provider on hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• CT registry preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Performs CT diagnostic procedures as outlined by the radiologist.
• Operates diagnostic CT equipment and verifies images.
• Prepares room with necessary equipment and supplies for CT procedures.
• Assists in scheduling, clerical tasks, and inventory related to diagnostic imaging.
• May supervise students as directed by area supervisor.
