Job summary

Trinity Health Livonia seeks a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT imaging under a Radiologist’s direction. You will ensure adherence to ALARA principles and established protocols while supporting patient care and safety.

Minimum two years radiologic technologist experience and CT experience preferred; Toshiba 64-slice or higher is a plus. This is a part-time, rotating shift position in a collaborative imaging team.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a radiologic technology program accredited by the AMA or JRCERT.
• ARRT registration in good standing; CT certification preferred; CT certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform a variety of CT procedures with sound clinical judgment and patient care.
• Assess patient history, review orders, and select scan protocols.
• Identify contraindications for IV and oral contrast.
• Maintain knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology.
• Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment; resolve basic technical issues.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and lifting as needed.
• Maintain accurate EMRs and adhere to safety guidelines.

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CT Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team. Under the direction of a Radiologist, the CT Technologist will perform high-quality Computed Tomography (CT) imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions, ensuring that all procedures adhere to established protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform a variety of CT procedures using sound judgment, technical expertise, and attention to patient care.


• Assess patient history, review physician orders, and determine the appropriate scan protocols.


• Recognize contraindications for IV and oral contrast preparations.


• Maintain knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology to ensure diagnostic accuracy.


• Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment to resolve basic technical and computer-related issues.


• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.


• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and lifting as needed.


• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and comply with all departmental policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.


• Training: Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology program accredited by the AMA or JRCERT.

  • Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  
  
  • Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
  
  
  • CT Advanced Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  
  
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required.

  • At least one year of experience in CT diagnostic imaging preferred.
