Position Objective

Performs CT imaging procedures on all age groups in accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures.

Essential Job Duties

• Performs routine radiographic procedures and special computerized tomography procedures consistent with established quality standards and patient needs.
• Performs daily quality assurance testing on CT unit and emergency equipment, maintaining appropriate records.
• Reports equipment, staffing, and productivity issues to supervisor and makes recommendations.
• Obtains clinical data, supervises patient preparation, records data, and prioritizes workflow. Provides care for physically and mentally compromised patients.
• Ensures efficient patient flow through scheduling and responsibility assignment.
• Manages storage and routing of supplies, monitors stock levels, and reports shortages.
• Maintains logs and manuals, and submits monthly reports as required.
• Participates in training, demonstrates equipment and procedures, and assists in interventional CT procedures and emergency responses.
• Supports orientation and cross-training of staff according to performance and training needs.

Educational/Experience Requirements

Completion of a two-year radiological technology program in an AMA-approved institution.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Current Maryland state licensure
• ARRT radiography certification
• CPR certification
• ARRT CT certification

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Exposure to blood-borne pathogens; heavy physical work involving exertion of force up to 100 pounds, with reasonable accommodations as per ADA.
