Job summary

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and quality control for equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and reports issues.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures.
• Analyzes results and addresses imaging quality issues.
• Enters and reports scan results.

CT Technologist / Cat Scan / Computed Tomography

Our client, a small hospital located in North Central NM, about 45 mins from Santa Fe, has a need for a CT Tech to join their team. This is a full-time, night shift role that offers some schedule flexibility and will work either 5x8s or 4x10s. This role could work Monday through Thursday from 11 pm to 9 am or Monday through Friday from 12 am to 8 am or 11 pm to 7 am.

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
• Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
• Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current NM Radiologic Technologist license
• Possess an associate degree in a related field.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire.
• License: ARRT certified/registered in radiography and Computed Tomography (CT)
