Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT exams, ensure patient safety, and maintain high-quality imaging standards. The role requires operation of CT equipment, attention to ALARA principles, and thorough documentation within PACS and radiology records.

Must be licensed and certified with BLS, and have CT experience. This position emphasizes patient interaction, accurate protocol selection, and collaboration with the imaging team to support timely, safe patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois IEMA Accreditation is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient safety throughout imaging and post-procedure care.
• Produce diagnostic-quality CT images using approved protocols.
• Apply judgment within protocols to optimize image quality.
• Reviews images and initiates corrective action when needed.
• Administer contrast per policy with patient monitoring.
• Operate imaging equipment and keep the room ready.
• Document exam data and ensure complete study transfer to PACS.
• Verify orders and confirm protocol.
