Job description

Join to apply for the CT Technologist-Casual Nights role at Northwestern Medicine.

This role reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.

The CT Scan Tech provides computed tomography imaging and patient care services at defined levels to patients.

FTE: 0.3 (24 hours every two weeks)

Responsibilities
  1. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately, utilizing ALARA principles during examinations.
  2. Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
  3. Prepare for and assist physicians in computed tomography procedures, including interventional procedures, and perform reconstruction of CT images.
  4. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
  • ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) within one year of hire.
  • CPR-Basic Life Support.
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) licensure.
  • Physical demands include lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling with up to 50 pounds force.
Preferred:
  • One year of Radiology Technologist experience.
