Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is expanding its Cardiac Evaluation Center in Norwalk, CT. We are seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures and help the radiology team deliver accurate cross-sectional imaging.

You will operate CT scanners, adjust exposure factors, and support radiologists in complex cases. Ideal candidates are licensed radiologic technologists with ARRT CT certification within 12 months and a radiography program background.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the state or appropriate health authority.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a cardiovascular center according to established protocols to assist physicians.
• Select correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields to produce high-quality CT images.
• Assist Radiologist/Physician's Assistant in complex invasive CT examinations while maintaining sterile technique.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
