Job summary

Hartford HealthCare’s Cardiac Evaluation Center in Norwalk, CT is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures in a cardiovascular walk-in center. You will use correct exposure factors and algorithms to produce high-quality cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from CT Department of Public Health prior to hire date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures at a cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols.
• Assist radiologists in complex CT examinations with sterile technique and imaging guidance.
• Contribute to quality imaging and patient care for referring physicians.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
