Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is expanding its Cardiac Evaluation Center in Norwalk, CT and seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures at a cardiovascular walk-in center. You will work under established protocols to produce high-quality cross-sectional images and support the radiology team.

Licensed Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT certification (or eligibility within 12 months) and graduation from an accredited Radiography program are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed by CT DPH required.
• ARRT CT certification within 12 months of hire.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiography program.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures per established protocols.
• Assist radiologist or physician assistant in complex invasive CT examinations.
• Maintain sterile technique and produce technically accurate CT images.
• Contribute to accurate image analysis and documentation.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
