Hartford HealthCare's Cardiovascular Walk-In Center in Norwalk, Connecticut seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures for the Heart & Vascular Institute, following established protocols to support radiologists.

Licensed Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT certification within 12 months; graduate from an accredited Radiography program; opportunities for modality cross-training and career growth; competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health or equivalent before hire
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry
• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a cardiovascular center according to established protocols.
• Select correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields based on patient age and diagnosis.
• Produce technically accurate cross-sectional CT images to assist the radiologist.
• Assist in complex invasive CT examinations with sterile technique and teamwork.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
