Hartford HealthCare is seeking a CT Technologist for our Cardiac Evaluation Center in Norwalk, CT. You will perform diagnostic CT procedures following established protocols to support physician diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities include assisting Radiologist/Physician's Assistant in invasive CT exams, ensuring sterile technique, and producing accurate CT images for interpretation. Relevant state licensure and ARRT CT certification within 12 months are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the state prior to hire or transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures following established protocols to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment.
• Assist Radiologist or Physician's Assistant in complex invasive CT examinations using sterile technique and proper positioning.
• Produce cross-sectional CT images and ensure technical accuracy for interpretation.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
