Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is expanding its Cardiac Evaluation Center in Norwalk, Connecticut, seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures in a cardiovascular walk-in center. You will collaborate with the Heart & Vascular Institute and Cardiology Associates of Fairfield County to provide high-quality imaging services.

Qualifications include CT Advanced ARRT certification within 12 months and licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in CT.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health before start date.
• ARRT CT Advanced certification required within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular center.
• Select correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields for accurate cross-sectional images.
• Assist Radiologist or Physician's Assistant in complex invasive CT examinations with sterile technique.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
