Job Summary
The CT Technologist I performs procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. Operates CT scanners and associated equipment with proficiency, including scanner, post-processing stations, IV contrast injectors, O2 and suction equipment, patient transport, and monitoring equipment.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts, including lifting, moving patients, and equipment. May involve standing, walking, bending, and exposure to physical conditions like stairs and moving machinery. Must follow radiation safety guidelines.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology. ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine, and advanced ARRT in CT within one year of hire, plus current CPR certification.
