Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Atlanta seeks a certified CT Technologist to perform computed tomography imaging under radiologist supervision. You will prepare patients, operate scanners, apply contrast when indicated, and ensure high-quality, safe imaging throughout the exam.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB accredited program.
  • Registered CT Technologist with ARRT-CT or NMTCB-CT.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collects patient data and reviews orders to identify exam indications.
  • Explains procedure and ensures consent is obtained when required.
  • Positions patient and administers contrast according to protocol.
  • Monitors patient during scanning and manages adverse reactions.
  • Sets equipment parameters and logs exam details for PACS.
  • Performs CT scanning and adjusts settings to optimize visualization.
  • Organizes images, completes the scan, and transfers data to PACS.
  • Facilitates patient transport to/from emergency/inpatient areas.
  • Communicates important findings to radiologist and adheres to stroke protocols.
  • Performs POC iSTAT tests and screens for contraindications.
  • Documents charges in the hospital information system.
  • Maintains equipment safety and assists in training staff.
