Job summary

Banner Health in Tucson seeks a CT Technologist to perform prescribed imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety and quality. You will work within Banner University Medical Center’s Imaging Department, contributing to a multidisciplinary team delivering advanced imaging services.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT/NMTCB certification, AZ/WY/NV licensure, and CT certification within 18 months. The role requires effective communication and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• National Certification required from ARRT or NMTCB CNMT.
• State licensure required for AZ, WY, NV; includes Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license before hire (Colorado exemption).
• Advanced CT certification within 18 months of hire (ARRT-CT or NMTCB-CT).
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow and verify orders; perform prescribed procedures.
• Educate patients and families about procedures; maintain professional conduct.
• Produce high-quality images; prepare and document findings for interpretation.
• Demonstrate competence in prescribed invasive/interventional procedures when applicable.
• Perform equipment quality control and troubleshoot as needed.
• Maintain a safe environment; adhere to safety policies.
• Uphold ethical, legal, and professional radiology standards.
