Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computerized axial tomography procedures and administer contrast per policy. The role includes reviewing patient history, ensuring safety, and coordinating with radiologists.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT CT/R radiography credentials and BLS, with potential for lead responsibilities. This position emphasizes cross-trained modality versatility and adherence to department protocols.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days.
Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (state licensure as applicable).
ARRT registries: Radiography (R) and CT within 1 year.
CNMT certification within 1 year is acceptable.

Responsibilities

Performs CT procedures following department protocols and accreting body guidelines.
Administers IV contrast and oral/rectal contrast when appropriate.
Reviews cases with radiologist and patient history to ensure correct exam.
Maintains patient and visitor safety; reports safety events promptly.
May perform duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in absence and assist cross-trained modalities.
