Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to join our patient-first imaging team in Lake Forest, IL. You will operate Siemens Force CT scanners, ensure patient safety, and produce diagnostic images while coordinating exam flow and contrast administration.

Minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiology Technologist Program, IEMA accreditation, and BLS certification. Preferred candidates have 1 year CT experience and ARRT CT certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Preferred: 1 year experience.
• Preferred: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CT.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when needed.
• Administers contrast per policy with patient monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains and documents in medical records and PACS.
