Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office/Google Suite).
• ARRT CT within 9 months of start; NJ state radiology license; BLS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex CT procedures.
• Evaluates radiographs for proper ID and diagnostic value.
• Prepares scanning protocols from medical records for patient safety.
• Determines patient preparation and ensures readiness for CT.
• Preps patient for scanning: shielding and immobilization.
• Assists with CT-guided interventional procedures as needed.
• Performs CT exams and administers contrast per protocols.
• Provides explanations to patients and answers questions.
• Performs venipuncture and IV maintenance.
• Monitors patient condition during procedures.
• Reviews images to decide if additional scans are needed.
• Performs QA and maintains equipment.
• Adheres to infection control guidelines and radiation safety.
