Job summary

Lexington Health in Columbia, SC seeks a CT Technician to perform computerized tomography scans and related procedures in a rotating shift. The role requires ARRT CT certification and SC license, and includes responsibilities in biopsies, aspirations and drainages.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine program.
• ARRT Post Primary CT certification.
• SC Radiation Quality Standards license.
• Military training may substitute educational requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provides CT scans and prepares images for radiologist interpretation.
• Prepares patients for CT procedures and uses universal precautions.
• Obtains patient consent for procedures when needed and communicates process clearly.
• Monitors intravenous contrast injections and uses CT injector.
• Maintains CT department cleanliness and equipment, and ensures adequate supplies.
• Assists radiologists with biopsies, aspirations, drainages and other aseptic procedures.
