Job summary

GI Alliance in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist specializing in CT imaging to perform a variety of imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety and high-quality results.

You will work under physician guidance to complete CT and related imaging, maintain strict radiation safety, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting. The role requires state certification and a demonstrated ability to operate imaging equipment efficiently.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
• One (1) year of imaging experience required; GI or internal medicine office experience preferred.
• CT Certification required; CPR certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient technical (computer) skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
• Self‑motivated with initiative.
• Strong sense of ethics.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform CT scans ordered by physician and advanced level providers.
• Work independently while providing effective patient care.
• Complete a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic imaging procedures, including X‑ray and CT of moderate to high complexity.
• Practice proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
• Chart and log completed ultrasound as required or necessary as well as complete associated paperwork.
• Provide supportive patient care to assist the nurses and physicians in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas.
• Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general population.
• Be responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards to patients.
• Maintain the imaging room in an efficient and sanitary manner as required by law, and immediately report any equipment failure or malfunction to physician or office manager.
• Perform all quality control checks, as prescribed.
• Understand and practice proper use of all equipment; never operate equipment inconsistent with manufacturer’s instruction.
• Collect, report and document data related to patient needs, emergencies, and unusual patient and family behavior.
• Maintain patient care areas with appropriate supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
