Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to understand creatinine and GFR levels with related protocols.

Job description

CT Technologist – 3rd Shift

Hours: 5:30pm–6am

Department: CT

CT Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic images for interpretation by the radiologist. The employee must operate equipment, adjust technique, and position patients to ensure high-quality images.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify images and ensure high quality
• Complete annual continuing education on CT safety
• Obtain proper consent for procedures
• Perform CT examinations by setting, adjusting, manipulating, and controlling complex electronic equipment
• Administer intravenous contrast media under radiologist guidance
• Document radiation dose and contrast use in patient charts
• Maintain knowledge of creatinine and GFR levels to determine contrast use and consult clinicians when necessary
• Use PACS and HIS systems to archive and record patient data
• Apply proper radiation safety techniques to provide excellent quality at minimal dose

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) (within 1 year)
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) (within 1 year)
• IEMA certification
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to understand creatinine and GFR levels and related protocols

Compensation

Estimated compensation range: $32.10–$49.76 per hour. Pay based on experience.
