Under the supervision of the Senior CT Scan Technologist and department leadership, this role provides direct patient care services and other related functions in support of the department. Performs independently within the scope of department policies. Clinically works at the direction of a qualified Radiologist.

Major Responsibilities

1. Properly perform all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
2. Gather pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.
3. Accurately complete all records, paperwork and billings and submit promptly.
4. Position and transfer patients appropriately and assist physicians with interventional exams.
5. Promptly and properly complete exams, perform QC on images and appropriately send exams to PACS for the physicians to review.

Position Qualifications

License/Certification/Education:

• Required:
  1. Graduate of an accredited radiological program.
  2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT.
  3. Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  1. Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results.
  2. Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.
• Preferred:

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
