Job Summary:

The CT Technologist will perform computed tomography procedures, adhere to established guidelines, and assist in training new technologists. They will work under the supervision of the lead/charge technologist and modality medical director. Responsibilities include:

  1. Perform all technical procedures within the modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual.
  2. Meet the technical competency requirements for the position.
  3. Maintain effective working relationships with staff.
  4. Participate in professional education, safety initiatives, and quality improvement activities.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Education and Experience:

Training and experience in radiography; CT experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure:
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current Massachusetts BCEH Computed Tomography (Full/General) license.
  • Current Massachusetts BCEH license in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.
  • Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (RT(CT)).
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.
Software/Hardware Skills:
  • Imaging equipment for acquisition, processing, reviewing, and retrieving images.
  • Hospital information system hardware and software.
  • Communication devices (fax, telephone, email).
