Job Summary:

The CT Technologist performs computed tomography procedures, adheres to established guidelines, and assists in training new technologists. Works under the supervision of the lead/charge technologist and modality medical director. Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing all technical procedures within the modality sections as outlined in the Radiology Policy Manual.
  2. Meeting technical competency requirements.
  3. Maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
  4. Participating in professional education, safety initiatives, and quality improvement activities.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
  • Education and Experience: Documented training and experience in radiography; CT training and experience preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure: Current BLS certification; Massachusetts BCEH Computed Tomography (Full/General) license; Massachusetts BCEH license in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy; ARRT registered certification in Computed Tomography (RT(CT)); ARRT certification in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.
Software/Hardware Skills:
  • Imaging acquisition, processing, and review equipment.
  • Hospital information system hardware and software.
  • Communication devices (fax, phone, email).
