Location: 101 Hospital Drive, Columbus, NC 28722

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, your primary duties include imaging neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system updated. You will actively participate in outstanding customer service, maintaining respectful relationships and implementing the principles of the facility.

• Perform exams using established protocols, ensure proper patient identification, educate patients about the exam, and screen for contrast allergies.
• Complete exams efficiently, maintain workflow, minimize empty table time, and communicate with patients post-exam.
• Operate all imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, and adapt protocols for patients of all ages.
• Screen patients of childbearing age, minimize radiation exposure, practice infection control, maintain a clean and organized room, perform QA on CT scanners, and handle pharmaceutical waste as trained.
• Review images, repeat if necessary, and notify physicians of emergent findings following protocol.
• Use the computer system for exam management, ensuring accuracy before transmitting images.

Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Completion of radiologic technology training and ARRT registration
• State license as required by the state
• Computed Tomography ARRT certification PREFERRED
