A leading healthcare provider in Michigan seeks a skilled Radiologic Technologist to perform computerized tomographic procedures. The ideal candidate will prepare patients, administer contrast media, and follow strict safety protocols. GENERAL SUMMARY:
Up to $ Sign-on Bonus
Shift: PT 24 hours per week, mid shift 11:30am-8pm e/o weekend (6:30am-3pm)
Willing to cross-train radiologic technologists
Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists. Responsibilities: Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately.| Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.| Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted.| Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or Technical degree required within 6 months of hire required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. -
One or more of the following required: - Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification. - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.
