Schedule: 24 Hours, Evenings/Nights, Weekends Required, Part-Time, Benefit Eligible



Job Summary:


The CT Technologist will perform computed tomography procedures while adhering to established guidelines and assisting in the training of new technologists; will work under the supervision of the lead/charge technologist and modality medical director. The CT Technologist will:


  • Perform all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual.


  • Meet the technical competency requirements for the position.


  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.


  • Participate in professional education programs, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance/ improvement activities.



Required Knowledge & Skills:


  • Education andExperience:Documented training and experience in radiography; Documented training and experience in CT preferred


  • Certification/Licensure:


  • Current BLS certification; and


  • Current Massachusetts BCEH Computed Tomography (Full/General) license or ability to obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary license; and


  • Current Massachusetts BCEH (Full/General) license in Radiography and/or Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiation Therapy, or ability to obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary license; and


  • Current ARRT registered certification in Computed Tomography with RT(CT) designation or eligible for ARRT certification; and


  • Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography and/or Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiation Therapy, or eligible for ARRT certification


  • Software/Hardware:


  • Imaging acquisition, processing, reviewing, sending, and retrieving equipment (hardware and software)


  • Hospital information system equipment (hardware and software)


  • Communication equipment (e.g., fax, telephone, email, etc.)
