Job summary

Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Albany, Georgia is seeking a CT technologist to perform CT scans and procedures, 2030-0700 on Monday-Thursday, under the supervision of a qualified physician and in accordance with established protocols and ALARA principles.

The role requires processing and preparing scans, starting and administering IV contrast, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with the care team to provide excellent service.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• 1–2 years CT experience preferred.
• ARRT CT certification along with CPR and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and procedures under physician supervision.
• Interpret scanning instructions and apply ALARA principles.
• Start and administer IV contrast media; prepare and acquire scans.

Job Description Summary:

Description: JOB SUMMARY: This position is a 2030-0700 Monday-Thursday 4/10 hour shifts CT technologist is responsible performing CT scans and procedures, under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. The CT technologist must be able to accurately interpret the physician scanning instructions, start & administer IV contrast media, prepare and perform the scans according to establish protocols. The technologist must be knowledgeable about the radiation exposure to the patient and make technical changes according to body habitus, age and ALARA principle. The technologist provides direct patient care to all ages of patients. The technologist is provide very good customer service; that is to treat every patient with respect, courtesy, and explain the exam to the patient . The technologist must be able to work together with others providing a positive work environment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Vocational / Technical Degree in Radiologic Technology (Required)

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 - 2 years CT (Preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSURES

Required Certifications/Licensures:

• Certified Computed Tomography (CT)(ARRT)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
