Job description

MH: CT- (Full Time, Varied Shift)

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the CT Technologist 2 conducts advanced CT procedures including three-dimensional (3-D) post-processing, triaging patients, and performing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) for adult patients. The role involves supporting and guiding lower-level staff, working with clinical students, adhering to HIPAA and corporate compliance guidelines, and performing other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Completion of an accredited ARRT Educational Program is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Computed Tomography (CT) is necessary.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of CT procedures, scanners, post-processing, TAVR CTA, radiation safety, and office software.
  • Skill in operating various CT scanners, producing advanced scans of cardiac areas, stroke, and trauma cases.
  • Ability to produce 3-D post-processing images of the aorta, carotids, and head.
  • Adherence to radiation safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and calibrating CT equipment from different vendors.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and perform detailed work accurately.
  • Physical abilities including color and smell discrimination, hearing, and visual acuity necessary for patient care and equipment operation.
Licensures and Certifications:
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • ARRT Registered (R)
  • ARRT Advanced License in CT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • IV certification
