Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT to perform routine imaging on scheduled and emergent cases. The role emphasizes patient identification, ALARA principles, and clear communication with patients and families.

The successful candidate will hold ARRT RT/CT certification, have at least one year of radiologic technologist experience, and maintain BLS certification, contributing to high-quality imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Allied Health is required or preferred.
• Bachelors degree in health-related field preferred.
• 1 year of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist.
• RT/CT certification is required with ARRT and must be maintained.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine CT imaging examinations on scheduled and emergency basis.
• Reviews requisitions and abstracts data from charts to determine appropriateness.
• Identifies patient with two identifiers.
• Performs basic imaging analysis (e.g., 3D) and selects appropriate equipment.
• Explains procedures to patients/parents and discusses Radiation exposure (ALARA).
• Maintains documentation, HIPAA compliance, and department workflow.
