Job Description

Overview

Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized CT imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Executes clinical competence in CT across all locations and patient types, selecting appropriate technical factors and adhering to dose reduction principles. Administers contrast as per facility policy.
2. Applies knowledge of CT principles, including anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, physics, patient positioning, and patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
3. Documents patient care activities accurately in electronic health records.
4. Maintains a safe work environment, manages supplies and equipment, reports issues, and follows quality control procedures.
5. Participates in departmental performance improvement initiatives and training activities.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited program recognized by USDE or CHEA.

Experience

• Minimum one year of experience in CT required.

Licensures/Certifications

• Registered with ARRT in Radiography (R).
• Licensed Radiographer in Maryland.
• CT Registry preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
