Job summary

UNC Health Rex CT Scan in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a CTTechnologist to perform CT procedures, reconstructions, and contrast administration with a focus on patient safety and accuracy. The role requires maintaining PACS workflows and contributing to quality improvement efforts.

The position is full-time, onsite with a 40-hour schedule and a night shift. The facility values commitment and clinical excellence for diagnostic imaging services.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or certified with the NMTCB(CT) or registry eligible.
• Must become registered within two years of employment and maintain registry status annually.
• All imaging specialists must maintain current competency in BLS.

Responsibilities

• Patient identification and history collection with emphasis on safety and pregnancy status where applicable.
• Obtain CT images per protocols and perform 3D reconstruction as needed.
• Administer oral and IV contrast following protocols and ensure lab values are acceptable for contrast use.
• Maintain PACS proficiency and ensure accurate image transmission and correct order processing.
• Support workflow, document incidents, and precept new staff and students.
