A leading healthcare organization in Rhode Island is seeking a CT technician to ensure the effective utilization of CT scanners, maintain patient safety, and manage departmental operations. The ideal candidate will have formal training in radiology technology and several years of experience in the field. This role requires a commitment to patient care and safety, with responsibilities including equipment maintenance and patient preparation.

Participates in technical duties directly involved with the CT scanner including developing, initiating, and monitoring procedures for the effective utilization of this unit. Under the direction of the departmental protocols and supervision of the radiologist, administer IV contrast according to departmental guidelines for specific procedures.

Education
Requires formal training in radiology technology from an AMA-approved program.
Experience
Minimum of three to four years of radiologic experience with preferred experience in special procedures. One year of exposure or training in CT to achieve proficiency.
Licensure
Registration by the A.R.R.T. as an RT (R)(CT) is preferred and must be licensed in the state. If not RT(CT) certified, registration in CT must be obtained within twelve months of hire. CPR certification (BLS) is required.
