Qualifications

Performs radiographic and CT procedures at a professional level, requiring minimal supervision. The radiographer/CT technologist must exercise independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to ensure quality images and relevant diagnostic information for physicians.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and Licensure

• For WV, OH, and MD: Certified by ARRT in Radiography or certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through NMTCB; Radiologic Technologist certification through the state; BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• For PA: Same certifications as above.

Preferred Qualifications

• CT Certification by ARRT.
• Two years of experience in Radiology or CT.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in documentation and evaluation of clinical performance, perform daily QA, complete proper documentation, employ safety techniques, communicate effectively, perform IV insertions/blood draws, conduct diagnostic X-ray and CT exams, assist with interventional procedures, administer contrast media, utilize workstation and PACS systems, and demonstrate proficiency with equipment such as CT scanners and pressure injectors.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and feeling.
• Ability to lift and move patients and objects, exerting significant force.
• Normal hearing and visual acuity, ability to read and write in English.

Working Environment

• Exposure to body fluids, tissues, contagious diseases, sharps, gases, cleaning agents, radiation.
• High stress, interruptions, radiation exposure.

Skills and Abilities

• Perform complex mental activities, work under stress, adapt to workloads, make independent judgments, collaborate, understand instructions, basic math skills, flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Additional Job Details

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Interventional tech for CT procedures. No weekends or holidays. 40 hours/week. Location: UHC United Hospital Center, 327 Medical Park Drive, Bridgeport, WV.
