Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• High school diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree preferred
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) (CT) within nine months of hire; must maintain current certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) from the Texas Department of Health; current CPR/BLS certification required; CT license may be obtained within nine months of starting the role.
• Preferred: One (1) year of experience as a radiographer or one (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting

Overview

CT Technologist

This is a PRN role.

Rate: $40/hr.

As a CT Technologist, you will perform technical diagnostic CT imaging procedures.

The Woodlands Hospital is a 245-bed non-profit facility providing quality healthcare to patients and communities in and around The Woodlands, Texas. We are part of CommonSpirit Health, which operates 139 hospitals and over 1,000 care sites across 21 states, making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents.

Position Summary:

Operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures related to CT. Provide patient orientation, explain procedures, and offer pre- and post-diagnostic care until completion of the test. Perform complete diagnostic imaging tests, including patient positioning, equipment calibration, and documentation of findings, under the supervision of the imaging manager. Assist patients with basic care needs.

Daily responsibilities include reviewing and verifying physician’s orders, performing CT exams, communicating with patients about the procedures, and starting patient IVs.
