Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

1. High school diploma or GED; Associate’s Degree preferred.
2. Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) (CT) obtained within nine months of hire; must maintain current certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Department of Health; current CPR/BLS certification; CT license may be obtained within nine months of starting.
3. Preferred: One (1) year of experience as a radiographer or radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting.

Overview

Position: CT Technologist

This is a PRN role.

Rate: $40/hr

As a CT Technologist, you will perform technical diagnostic CT imaging procedures.

The Woodlands Hospital is a 245-bed non-profit facility providing quality healthcare to patients in and around The Woodlands, Texas. We are part of CommonSpirit Health, operating 139 hospitals and over 1,000 care sites across 21 states, serving nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents.

Position Summary:

Operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures related to CT. Provide patient orientation, explain procedures, and offer pre- and post-diagnostic care until test completion. Conduct complete diagnostic imaging tests, including patient positioning, equipment calibration, and documentation of findings, under the supervision of the imaging manager. Assist patients with basic care needs.

Daily responsibilities include reviewing and verifying physician’s orders, performing CT exams, communicating with patients about the procedures, and starting patient IVs.
