Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Socorro, NM seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and ensure accuracy of patient data and procedures. You will educate patients, document findings, and assist physicians during complex procedures, while maintaining sterile technique and equipment readiness.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology, current BLS, NM CT license and ARRT(CT) certification or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology required.
• Current BLS certification mandatory.
• NM CT license and ARRT(CT) certification required; provisional license acceptable with plan to obtain full licensure.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, performs and formats CT scans per protocol.
• Verifies patient name and procedure prior to scanning.
• Educates patient about the procedure and answers questions.
• Documents procedures and patient history; conducts follow-up calls when needed.
• Assists physician during procedures and maintains sterile setup.
• Maintains department policies, safety and equipment readiness.
• Attends trainings and aims for CT registry within 2–5 years.
• Pursues ARRT(CT) and NMCT licensure within 2 years of hire.

Also does patient follow up by phone when required (e.g. biopsy patients, abscess drainage, etc.).Assists physician during special procedures; set up and maintain sterile trays and equipment. Anticipates any equipment and/or supply needs during procedures.Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives and quality assurance, safety.Assists in maintaining upkeep of department and equipment - including ordering and stocking supplies when necessary.Attends section staff meetings, pertinent inservices, workshops and/or seminars for continuing education to enhance professional growth and development. Become eligible for taking C.T. Registry within 2 years from date of hire. Recommend becoming C.T.
