Job summary

Akumin is hiring a CT Technologist for our Sarasota, FL facility. This full-time role focuses on patient safety and performing high quality CT studies, with duties including training new staff and coordinating with radiologists.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT CT certification (or NMTCB in CT), state licensure where applicable, CPR, and strong customer service. A sign-on bonus of $2,500 is offered. Pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT CT registration or NMTCB in CT accepted in lieu of ARRT.
• State license in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver's license.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications to radiation and contrast.
• Produces high quality diagnostic CT images.
• Communicates effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots the scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).

We are currently hiring for a CT Technologist at our Sarasota, FL facility. This will be a Full Time position.

The CT Technologist is responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality CT studies. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections. Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.
• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT. If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license. Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves. Active State Driver's License.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
