CT Technologist

Full-time 40 hours

Midnight Shift

10 and 12 hour shifts available

Performs computerized tomography procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician. Assumes responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications for a CT Technologist:

• Graduate of a formal Radiology Technology program in an JRCERT approved school.
• Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current Advanced certification in Computed Tomography or must complete Advanced registry within one year of hire.
• ARRT and CT certification required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• At least two years of experience as a registered technologist preferred.

Responsibilities of a CT Technologist:

• Complete worksheets, patient records, and documentation; process scans and related functions.
• Assist Radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies.
• Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors; monitor patients for reactions and provide immediate care if needed.
• Perform a wide range of CT procedures; operate CT equipment, power injectors, PACS, RIS systems, and process films.
• Assist physicians in procedures within the procedure room.
• Maintain professional and ethical relationships with patients and colleagues to ensure high-quality care.
• Provide on-call coverage as needed in the CT department.
• Perform general nursing duties and clerical tasks related to patient documentation, billing, and image processing.
• Stay informed about applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies to ensure compliance and ethical behavior.
