As a CT Technologist, you will:

The CT Technologist role is a key step on the career ladder. Final placement and salary depend on experience and certification.

Performs imaging procedures independently, applying judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to use ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing CT procedures using established protocols, including contrast administration, without supervision
• Using complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, and documentation, following protocols
• Ensuring exams are properly coded, tracked, and networked for archiving and interpretation, with charges accurately entered
• Administering PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders, assessing patient risks
• Communicating clearly with patients, explaining procedures, and alleviating fears
• Adjusting protocols independently and applying ionizing radiation appropriately
• Interacting professionally with patients and staff, demonstrating care, listening, dignity, and respect
• Properly identifying patients, reviewing history, and applying departmental protocols for optimal results
• Demonstrating proper venipuncture and use of power injectors according to protocols
