Job summary

Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT examinations under supervision, applying ionizing radiation safely to produce diagnostic images. You will handle patient records and work with the radiology team to maintain high-quality procedures 24/7 as needed.

Eligible candidates have a two-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT CT registration or eligibility, and current BLS. Prior Siemens CT experience is beneficial for this role.

Qualifications

• Two year AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification with CT registration or registry eligible.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of two years of CT experience; Siemens CT experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations with quality standards and radiation protection.
• Use independent judgment and initiative to obtain CT images.
• Handle confidential patient information and records.
• Adapt to rotating shifts and potential call during nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Radiology Team Leader and physicians reading the procedures, performs CT examinations utilizing all standards for quality and radiation protection. Performs a variety of procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation to obtain CT images. Handles confidential information and patient records. Will perform all work with accord to the missions, vision, and values of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. The CT Technologists will work set schedules during the week, unless some shifts are not covered and then schedules may be changed. The Radiology Team Leader is responsible to make sure that patients receive high quality CT procedures 24 hours a day and the CT technologists need to be flexible with working different shifts. Call will also be required when there is not a radiographer that is capable of performing CT scans during the weeknights or weekends.

Qualifications

Education: Two year AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology, associate or baccalaureate degree.

Licensure/Certification: Certification with the ARRT, and CT registered or registry eligible. Current BLS certification.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience. Past experience with a Siemen's CT machine is helpful.
