Job summary

BrazosIMG is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging procedures and support radiology teams in a high-quality patient care environment.

You will operate CT equipment, prepare patients, ensure safety and infection control, and maintain accurate logs and supplies to support efficient imaging workflows.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensed Medical Radiographer in TX (MRT).
• BLS/CPR certification within 14 days of hire.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• ARRT CT certification within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT exams according to departmental protocols under Medical Director guidance.
• Prepares equipment and ensures it is safe and functional for diagnostic use.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues and coordinates service if needed.
• Maintains infection control standards and routine room/ equipment maintenance.
• Completes quality checks and equipment logs; manages clinical supplies for procedures.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT exams on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
• Problem‐solves equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative or CES regarding equipment problems
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• Medical Radiographer: TX (MRT)
• BLS - CPR, within 14 days of hire
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT(R))
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (ARRT(CT)) within 9 months of hire

Preferred

• Associates Degree
• One (1) year of Radiology experience/One (1) year of Radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting
