Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Bryan, TX is seeking a CT Technologist to capture diagnostic images and support radiologists in accurate diagnoses. You will ensure patient comfort and safety while performing cross‑sectional CT imaging and adhering to radiation safety standards.

The role requires an accredited Radiology program, 1 year radiology experience, and ARRT licensure with CT certification, plus CPR within 14 days of hire. Relocation assistance is available for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed an accredited Radiology program.
  • One year experience in Radiology.
  • Medical Radiographer: TX.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days of hire.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography.
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT scanners and related equipment per safety procedures.
  • Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective gear.
  • Assist radiologist with interventional CT imaging procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies per policies.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and radiologists.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross‑sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

  • Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
  • Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience and not operational rivalries or roadblocks to care.
  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
  • Assist radiologist with interventional CT imaging procedures, starting IVs and injecting contrast, if applicable.
  • Maintains equipment and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains lines of communication with all other staff members and Radiologists to ensure an effective and harmonious working environment.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Must have completed an accredited Radiology program.
  • One (1) year experience in Radiology.
  • Medical Radiographer: TX.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days of hire.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography.
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, within 9 months of hire.
Preferred
  • Associates of Science in Allied Health or Radiologic Technology.

Pay Range

$32.30 – $48.05 /hour
