Job description

A well-known hospital system is seeking a CT Technologist to join their Radiology Diagnostic team in all boroughs of New York City.

Responsibilities:

• Review exam orders, consult with Radiologist, schedule patients and arrange for transportation as indicated
• Identify patient and document all information pertinent to final report in the RIS and PACS
• Prepare all patients for radiological procedures requested by the clinician
• Make sure contrast media questionnaire has been filled out by patient
• Assess any existing intravenous line or selects appropriate venipuncture site and attaches injector tubing to patient's intravenous line.
• Loads and programs contrast media power injector according to established departmental procedures and assigns appropriate injection rates based on access and protocol
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary in the event of emergencies or disaster

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1 year CT Technologist experience
• A valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by the NYSDOH required
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography required
• Completed High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

• AHA BLS Certification
