Job summary

Lumexa Imaging, Inc. seeks a Registered CT Technologist for a full-time position at our Myrtle Beach, SC imaging center. You will perform CT studies with a focus on patient care, image quality, and safety.

Responsibilities include selecting protocols, preparing contrast, operating the scanner, and coordinating with RIS/PACS. We offer a competitive compensation package, robust benefits, and opportunities for career growth within our expanding outpatient imaging network.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT CT Registry required.
  • Current BLS/CPR training.
  • CT scanner operation and training.
  • CT anatomy and medical terminology knowledge.
  • Knowledge of CT scanner operations, RIS and PACS.
  • Proficiency with monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS.
  • Organized, detail oriented, observant.
  • Calm and effective communicator.
  • Helpful, patient and sympathetic.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT examinations as ordered and ensure diagnostic image quality.
  • Select appropriate protocols and factors based on patient size and symptoms.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address questions.
  • Position patients and assist on/off the examination table.
  • Verify patient information and obtain medical history.
  • Obtain IV contrast consent and manage adverse effects.
  • Perform venipuncture for IV contrast administration.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media per protocol.
  • Operate scanner per manufacturer guidelines; coordinate service as needed.
  • Use RIS and PACS for processing and documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, clean exam room and patient care environment.
  • Carry out daily and monthly QA procedures on the scanner.
  • Follow ALARA, Image Gently, Image Wisely radiation safety.
  • Maintain HIPAA and corporate compliance.
  • Initiate basic life support when required.
  • Follow infection control practices.
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance.
  • All other duties as assigned

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Lumexa Imaging partnerAmerican Health Imagingis looking for aregistered CT Technologistfor a full-time position in Myrtle Beach , SC. As a registered CT Technologist, you will perform high quality scans while providing excellent customer care and service to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patient
  • Provide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients’ needs and questions
  • Position patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed.
  • Verify patient information and obtain comprehensive medical history including any related prior studies
  • Obtain consent for administration of IV contrast and follow established practices to provide treatment, documentation and follow-up in the case of any adverse effects of IV contrast administration
  • Perform venipuncture for administration of IV contrast
  • Prepare and administer contrast media according to established practices
  • Utilize scanner within manufacture guidelines and take appropriate action for service as needed
  • Utilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentation
  • Maintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patient
  • Perform daily and monthly QA procedures on scanner
  • Follow ALARA principles, Image Gently and Image Wisely to insure safe radiation practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulations
  • Initiate basic life support actions when necessary
  • Use infection control practices
  • Maintain punctuality and regular attendance
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of approved program for Radiological Technology
  • ARRT and CT Registry required
  • Current BLS/CPR training
  • CT scanner operation and training
  • CT anatomy and knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of operation system of CT scanner, RIS and PACS
  • Basic proficiency with computer monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS use
  • Organized, detail oriented, observant

Physical Demands of the Position
  • Lifting/moving patients, positioning the patients
