Cat Scan Tech

Duration: 13 Weeks

Location: Morristown, NJ

Shift: 3pm-11pm Monday – Friday including call but NO weekends

Requirements:

• ARRT RT (R)
• ARRT RT (CT)
• BLS - AHA

Duties:

• Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients for CT procedures with attention to comfort and accuracy.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Administer oral or intravenous contrast materials as needed, while monitoring for reactions.
• Select appropriate imaging protocols based on physician orders and clinical indications.
• Ensure image quality and proper positioning to aid accurate diagnosis.
• Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures in the EMR.
