Job summary

The South Bend Clinic is seeking a Certified Radiologic Technologist to operate CT scanners, prepare patients, and ensure high-quality cross-sectional images for diagnosis. You will coordinate with radiologists and care teams, manage contrast administration, and uphold HIPAA and safety standards in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications include AART certification and RTR license, with Indiana licensure required.

  • Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RTR) license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Operates CT scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnosis.
  • Interprets scanning instructions, administers contrast materials, and positions the patient for optimal images.
  • Checks orders, organizes paperwork, and presents results to radiologist in a professional manner.
  • Adheres to HIPAA guidelines and supports the radiology team as needed.

Responsibilities:

Utilizes computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Accurately interprets physician’s scanning instructions, administers contrast materials, prepares and operates the CT scan equipment and positions the patient to capture the appropriate images. Checks orders, organizes paperwork, and presents to radiologist in a professional and confident manner. Verifies all information. Fosters a team effort by offering to help with other duties as needed or requested. Use the initiative to assist without being asked. Put idle time to good use in other areas as needed. Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions. Demonstrates the attitudes and behaviors of The South Bend Clinic Service Standards. Performs other duties as assigned when appropriate. Adheres to HIPAA guidelines set forth in Clinic policies and procedures.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certification/License:

Must be certified by the AART and the State of Indiana. Registry of Radiologic Technologists (RTR) license is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to physically maneuver equipment and patients.
