Job summary

Great Lakes Physician Administrative Services LLC seeks a full-time MRI Technologist for their Mishawaka location. The role involves using MRI technology to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.

The ideal candidate will have certification as an MRI Technologist and state certification, possess good IV skills, and be able to cooperate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care. Comprehensive benefits and a supportive culture are part of the employment package.

  • Must be able to physically maneuver equipment and patients.
  • Possess good IV placement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Magnetic Resonance (MR) scanner to produce high-quality images.
  • Interpret physician’s scanning instructions and prepare equipment.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report problems.

Hours: Full-Time; 32 Hours Weekly: Monday-Thursday: 1:00 pm-9:00 pm

Qualifications
  • Education/Certification/License: Must be certified by the AART as an MRI Technologist and the State of Indiana.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to physically maneuver equipment and patients and possess good IV placement skills.
Responsibilities
  • Utilize Magnetic Resonance (MR) scanner to produce high‑quality cross‑section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues.
  • Accurately interpret physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the MR scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
  • Check orders, organize paperwork, and present to radiologist in a professional and confident manner.
  • Verify all information and provide complete documentation.
  • Foster a team effort by offering to help with other duties as needed or requested, and use the initiative to assist without being asked.
  • Perform appropriate safety screening, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and report problems promptly to the radiologist.
  • Participate in ACR and other modality accreditation when necessary.
  • Be competent in the placement of IVs and administration of intravenous contrast.
  • Exhibit computer systems knowledge (RIS, PACS, NextGen, eFilm) and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
  • Demonstrate the attitudes and behaviors of The South Bend Clinic Service Standards.
  • Maintain a clean and professional environment with adherence to biohazard and infection control.
  • Perform other duties as assigned when appropriate.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines set forth in Clinic policies and procedures.
