St. Joseph Health Madison Hospital in Madisonville, TX seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT exams and support diagnostic imaging. You will ensure equipment readiness, maintain infection control standards, and provide compassionate patient care during the imaging process.

You will work under the Medical Director, following departmental protocols, completing quality checks, documenting equipment logs, and coordinating with Radiologists to deliver clear, timely images for accurate diagnoses.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ARRT Radiography certification required.
• ARRT CT certification required or in progress (within 9 months).
• CPR certification within 14 days.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT exams on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
• Problem‐solves equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative or CES regarding equipment problems
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate OR High School GED
• Medical Radiographer: TX
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days (W/ American Heart Association)
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT(R))
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography ((ARRT(CT)), within 9 - months

Preferred

• Associates Degree
• One (1) year of experience as a radiographer OR one (1) year of radiography clinical rotation experience in a healthcare setting
